The centre provides a wide range of educational and product focused courses across almost all major therapeutic areas that include: Cataract, Cataract Refractive, Vitreoretinal and Laser Refractive surgery. This is further supported by an impressive selection of specialty courses.

The Alcon Experience Center in Barcelona has moved, along with the Iberian corporate offices, to a new campus just outside of Barcelona.
The center has increased dramatically in size (more than 1700 m²) compared to the former site, with dry-lab, wet-lab, diagnostics area, 8 meeting rooms, 2 auditoriums.
It features state-of-the-art streaming capabilities so that it may offer hybrid and remote trainings even when travel is not ideal.

Alcon Experience Center Barcelona has implemented all guidelines for face-to-face meetings ensuring prevention and health safety measures
Cualtis, SLU certifies that Alcon Experience Center Barcelona has implemented procedures to prevent the spread of SARS-COV-2 in accordance with the requirements of the health authorities published up to the date of the audit, which have been satisfactorily audited. As a result Cualtis delivers to AEC, the COVID-19 Controlled Space Certification and authorizes the use of the logo until the expiration date (09/14/2021)
- Office spaces and work areas have been evaluated and reorganized to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Hydroalcoholic gel dispensers have been placed in common areas, room entrance and labs
- Pathways have been defined to guarantee the safety distance of 2 meters and to establish capacity limits
- Seating capacities minimized in each room for appropriate social distancing
- Informative posters throughout the Center with the recommended capacity in classrooms, laboratories and common areas. Schedules and groups are adapted according to capacity
- Temperature screening is required for all visitors. A screening device is available in the entrance of AEC
